I figured it was a bug and finished the game, then transfered to ME2. After about 20 hours of gameplay they became perfectly steady for no apparent reason. Toward the end I noticed that my sniper rifles wouldn't sway anymore.
I recently got Mass Effect 1 for the PS3 through the play station store, and on my first playthrough I rolled a soldier. Technically this is a question about both ME1 and ME2, but I'm only especially worried about fixing it in 2.
